Black casings!

Finally some really good news for you GR-MEGA customers. We’ve received a proper batch of casings, the majority of them black. We’ve already assembled one unit and made a nice photo shoot right here. Feast your eyes:

What can we say? We expected it to look good, but this is something else. 😀

We’ve started assembling the batch and we should have the first units ready in the second week of October. We’ve received confirmation from the casing factories (yes, we have 3 in total to make this beauty of a casing) that there’s a new delivery to our doorstep in November. Yes, finally we can ship these puppies in proper numbers!

At this point we’re still keeping our eyes on any possible teething problems. We’ve identified one more issue, which only occurs when moving multiple sliders at the same time, and when in ADSR curve mode. This is fixed in firmware 1.1.5. This version also has a bunch of other quality improvements, and is now being tested. It should see release in the first week of October. You can always find the latest firmware here: GR-MEGA Support Page -> Firmware .

Meanwhile, the new Integral firmware in development, version 3.1, is now receiving the final touches. Because the Integral has a USB A host port, you can directly hook up MIDI keyboards and controllers, but we need to make this feature perfect. Every time you plug in a cable it should recognize the MIDI device. So far it has missed that a couple of times, but a proper solution is in reach. We hope to show you everything in the next news post! Until then.
